Sean Pruitt
Position: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Adjunct Professor of Psychology

Sean has been a therapist for over 17 years. After graduating, he worked in public mental health in North Carolina in the field of adolescent and adult substance abuse and mental health counseling. Upon moving to Ohio in 2005 he was a community-based therapist for adolescents at risk for removal from their families. Since 2010, Sean has been providing services to students of Oakstone Academy.

Sherry Colaizzi
Position: Adjunct Professor of Math

Sherry has eighteen years experience in the field of Math Education and currently serves teaching a wide variety of Upper School and College level Math, Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics, and Calculus. Sherry is a co-owner of a small business, Colaizzi Brothers, which has been operating since 2003. Sherry has a gifted personable approach to teaching and enjoys various outdoor activities with her family.

Vincent Krivda
Position: Adjunct Professor of Business, Adjunct Professor of Religion

Vincent has over 35 years of experience in business consulting focused on Finance, Accounting, Supply Logistics, Contract Management, & Associate Director of Programs for governmental agencies, consulting environmental, information technology, and research & development firms. Vincent is a retired Fellow of the National Contract Management Association and holds a lifetime certification as a Professional Certified Contracts Manager. He has published several professional journal articles in the area of technology innovation and regulatory compliance. Vincent is an ordained independent minister and currently engaged in research of ancient Semitic civilizations. Vincent is also pursuing additional Hebrew language studies beyond graduate seminary through the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Will White
Position: Adjunct Professor of History

Will has over 15 years of experience teaching Social Studies and has taught each of the main disciplines. Before arriving at Oakstone Academy in 2013, Will taught and coached in North Carolina. Will enjoys all periods of History, but especially enjoys teaching the Colonial period and American Revolution.

Jeffrey Burghauser
Position: Adjunct Professor of English

An acclaimed poet, translator, scholar, and educator, Jeffrey Burghauser is the author most recently of The Heavy Lifting: A Boy’s Guide to Writing Poetry (New English Review Press, forthcoming).

Gloria Carpenter
Position: Adjunct Professor of Music

Gloria Carpenter serves as the Performing Arts Director at Oakstone Academy. Gloria’s educational field includes both Vocal Performance, Piano, and Piano Pedagogy. She has performed Internationally, Nationally and extensively throughout the Midwest. Her Thesis was a Master’s Recital, featuring a Bach Cantata in German (with a string quartet, trumpet and harpsichord), French, English and Italian Art Songs. Gloria has had a private Voice Studio for over 30 years, and taught with the Performing Arts program at Eastland/Fairfield Career and Technical Schools for 17 years. She has also performed with several Bands in Central Ohio, singing styles ranging from jazz to rock for over 20 years. She has been with Oakstone for 20 years, and has been a driving force behind the excellent performing arts department at Oakstone.
