About Oakstone
Oakstone Academy, a nonprofit organization, has been providing an excellent private education option for children in Central Ohio for over 21 years. Located in Westerville, Ohio the nationally-recognized Oakstone Academy Model is the brainchild of scholar Rebecca Morrison, Ph.D., and represents the culmination of decades of groundbreaking research. This comprehensive educational model embraces academic excellence, leadership, and community. A model where every child finds an educational home.
Serving over 650 students each year from birth through high school, Oakstone Academy is dedicated to providing an environment that inspires and empowers our students to reach their own unique potential. Our approach in educational theory and pedagogy combines academic rigor, leadership and social immersion as a foundation in the development of students. Although education is serious, learning should be fun, interactive, and engaging. Children should feel confident and capable. They should experience the support to form deep and lasting friendships that enrich their school experience and their lives.
Our educational outcomes have superior results. Ninety percent (90%) of Oakstone students are taking college courses and studying college-level calculus by their senior year of High School studies. Our typical High school graduate accumulates at least 1-2 years of College level coursework before matriculating beyond Oakstone’s program. Graduating seniors have received scholarships in academics, leadership, volleyball, basketball, cross country, theatre, music, graphic design, and art. The result is a highly-rated, affordable, private school that offers a competitive college preparatory curriculum, yet prepares our students to succeed in all aspects of life after high school.
We strive to prepare all students to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens ready to meet the challenges of the future. In partnership with families and the community, our goal is to create relevant learning opportunities for students — both inside and outside the classroom — that help them develop the knowledge, critical thinking skills, and character necessary to succeed in a technologically advanced world.
