Academic Clubs
National Honor Society (NHS)
Oakstone Academy is a charter member of the National Honor Society, an organization dedicated to recognizing students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Membership celebrates students’ achievements while challenging them to grow through active involvement in school initiatives and community service. Students are eligible to apply during their junior year for consideration.
Key Club
Oakstone’s Key Club chapter is a student-led service organization focused on making a positive impact both locally and globally. Members participate in a wide range of service projects, including food and clothing drives, holiday gift collections, park cleanups, and fundraising efforts for charitable organizations. Students may participate as members or pursue leadership roles as elected officers, gaining valuable experience in service and teamwork.
In The Know
Oakstone’s In The Know team is an academic quiz bowl program for students in grades 9–12. Participants practice weekly and compete in the WOSU In The Know tournament, as well as in locally sponsored National Academic Quiz Team events. The team fosters collaboration, quick thinking, and a love of learning across many subject areas.
Social Clubs
Oakstone is committed to providing students with meaningful opportunities to connect outside the classroom. After-school social clubs are typically offered once a week for five to six sessions, twice each year. These clubs create a welcoming space for students to spend time with friends who share similar interests while participating in structured, engaging activities.
Offerings often include (but are not limited to) Unplugged Gaming, Swim, Art, Grilling/Cooking, Chess, LEGO, and Sewing.
We encourage students to step outside their “bubble” and take a break from technology. Through these experiences, students build friendships, develop creativity, learn new skills, and gain valuable lessons in teamwork, sportsmanship, and resilience.
