About Oakstone

The Oakstone Difference
Oakstone Academy is a nonprofit organization that has provided an exceptional private education to children in Central Ohio for more than 25 years. Located in Westerville, Ohio, Oakstone is a nationally recognized private school that serves both neurotypical students and students on the autism spectrum. Built on a foundation of innovation and belonging, Oakstone lives out its purpose—Inclusion Reimagined—by creating a community where every student is empowered to thrive.
The Oakstone Academy Model, developed by scholar Rebecca Morrison, Ph.D., represents the culmination of decades of forward-thinking research and practice. This comprehensive approach emphasizes academic excellence, leadership development, and meaningful community engagement—ensuring that every child is known, supported, and inspired.
Serving more than 650 students each year, from early childhood through high school, Oakstone Academy fosters an environment that challenges and empowers students to reach their unique potential. Our educational philosophy blends rigorous academics with leadership opportunities and authentic social experiences. While education is a serious pursuit, we believe learning should also be engaging, interactive, and enjoyable. Students build confidence, develop strong relationships, and form lasting friendships that extend far beyond the classroom.
Oakstone’s outcomes reflect this commitment to excellence. Forty-one percent of high school students enroll in college courses, earning an average of 23.5 college credits by graduation. Seniors are awarded scholarships across a wide range of areas, including academics, leadership, athletics, theatre, music, technology, and the arts. The result is a highly regarded and accessible private school that delivers a rigorous college-preparatory education while preparing students for success in all aspects of life beyond high school.
At Oakstone Academy, we are dedicated to developing lifelong learners and responsible citizens who are ready to meet the challenges of the future. In partnership with families and the community, we provide meaningful learning opportunities—both inside and outside the classroom—that cultivate knowledge, critical thinking, and strong character in an increasingly complex, technology-driven world.
Faculty and Staff
Teachers at Oakstone Academy are licensed by the Ohio Department of Education in their respective grade levels or subject areas, bringing both strong academic preparation and a deep commitment to student-centered learning. Class sizes are intentionally small, typically ranging from 14 to 20 students, with two teachers in each classroom to ensure individualized attention, meaningful relationships, and the flexibility to meet diverse learning needs.
This personalized approach is strengthened by a collaborative and highly dedicated support team. Our Intervention Specialists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and classroom aides are all integral to the success of our students and the overall learning environment. Their collective expertise and daily presence ensure that students are supported in ways that allow them to fully engage, build confidence, and thrive.
Together, this cohesive team creates a supportive, responsive, and inclusive community—one where every student is known, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.
